Law. Rafael Barón Duluc Rijo graduated as a Doctor in Law in 1996, degree conferred by the Universidad Central del Este. His continuous academic preparation led him to teach graduate courses in Civil and Constitutional Law in the Universidad Castilla- La Mancha, Spain. Likewise, he obtained a Master degree, in Private, European and International Law from the Universite Pantheon Assas, Paris II. Since the year 2001 he is a teacher at the Universidad Católica del Este, where he gives lectures in Civil Procedure Law I and II, as well a Civil Law III, IV, V and VI.
The Supreme Court evaluated this young professional in 1998 when applying for the position of Judge and obtained the best academic grade among all the applicants to the position in his jurisdiction.
Consequently, he executed his duties as a Judge of Peace in the Municipality of Higüey during the 1998-2003 periods. From 2002 to 2003 he was an internship tutor of four candidates to the same position, whom at the present time occupy their positions in different provinces in the country.
Moreover, he taught judges of the Judicial Department of Santiago, as a teacher sent by the National College of the Judicature. By mid 2003, he resigned from the Judge position to dedicate himself to the private practice side of the profession, moment in which he decided to found the law firm Duluc Rijo and Associates, with a staff comprised by highly competitive professionals, experts in different branches of law.
In January 2004, Duluc Rijo is elected as President of the College of Lawyers of the Dominican Republic in La Altagracia. A position that he still holds nowadays. In the present, he represents a range of clients in court, to whom he provides legal advising and consulting in Civil, Commercial, Labor, Criminal and Real Estate Law.
